Getting to Koh Yao Noi from Krabi
The trip from Krabi to Koh Yao Noi is a breeze. Koh Yao Noi is close enough to Krabi’s Ao Luek’s Thalen Pier that it’s possible to arrive in 20 minutes by speedboat. Passenger ferries will have you on the shores of Koh Yao Noi in one hour. There are seven ferries each day running between 7:30 am and 5 pm. Fares will only run you a few hundred baht at most depending on what company you use.
If you’re leaving from picturesque Krabi Town, keep in mind that there is only one ferry leaving per day. You’ll need to get to Thalen Pier, located 27km west. Grab a bus from the Talat Kao station, catch a songthaew or jump in a taxi. Make sure you factor in the extra travel time!
If you want to travel in style, many companies will escort you from the Krabi Airport to a your resort for roughly 2,000 Thai Baht. The Krabi airport is roughly an hour and a half from the pier and shared minivans can be had for a lower cost.

Getting to Koh Yao Noi from Phuket
Phuket is one of Thailand’s most popular tourist destinations, but when you want to escape the nonstop pace and relax, make your way to Bang Rong Pier and set sail from Phuket to Koh Yao Noi. Speedboats and ferries leave regularly from Bang Rong, starting at 6:30 am and ending at 4:40 pm. You can also opt for an authentic Thai experience and hire a longtail boat. Bang Rong is on the east coast of Phuket, 20 minutes from the airport and a straight shot to Koh Yao Noi’s Manoh Pier.
If you’re planning on visiting Koh Yao Noi’s big sister Koh Yao Yai as well, you can leave from Phuket’s Rassada Piers, located east of the city center. The Rassada Piers are far less popular and have fewer boats between Phuket and the Koh Yaos.

Getting to Koh Yao Noi from Koh Yao Yai
The Koh Yaos are the undisputed gems of the Andaman and it’s very easy to travel from Koh Yao Yai to Koh Yao Noi. Simply ask your villa desk or a travel company to get you a ferry voucher. You’ll sail from Koh Yao Yai Pier. You can also book an authentic long tail boat. Ferries run between the piers regularly, making island hopping a breeze.
